The Golden Horseshoe CHF is always active on the on the political front. The federation met with candidates and participated in candidate "meet n greets" in key ridings. Halam Park and Countrylane co-ops hosted the candidates.

We also mobilized our members to attend rallies in support of Thornhill Green co-op, threatened with a take-over by their local Service Manager.

Thornhill Green: The federation hired a bus to take members to a rally to join over 300 people protesting the

attempted take-over of this co-op by York Region.

In December, we again had a busload of co-op members attend yet another rally. Golden Horseshoe CHF members

spoke at both rallies.
